Meet Dr. Burgoyne

Dr. Burgoyne received her B.S. degree with Honors from the University of Tennessee and her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and received special training in anesthesia, wisdom teeth, implants, pathology, radiology, and patients with special needs.
Dr. Burgoyne became a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2010. She is trained in full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures and maintains her Board Certification status annually through extensive continuing education and recredentialing exams. She is a fellow of both the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She serves in the leadership of the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association, as a Delegate for the Virginia Dental Association, and she is an active member of the FCA Ethics Committee.
Dr. Burgoyne performs personalized, quality care and has an interest in treating patients of all ages, and especially those with special needs. She is dedicated to giving to the community both by teaching and by service. Dr. Burgoyne has volunteered for many local and international dental and surgical mission trips since 2003.
Dr. Burgoyne has personal interests in whole-food plant-based nutrition, mental health, and environmental responsibility. She finds her purpose in her family. She and her husband and two children live in Crozet and love to play outside. They spend much of their time reading, gardening, biking, hiking, enjoying the local parks, and spending time with friends and neighbors.
