Dental Implants
Implants can replace one or more missing teeth with crowns and can also be used to help dentures fit more securely.

Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth are often removed to prevent potential future problems such as gum infections, crowding of teeth, and cyst development.

Thousands of teeth are extracted each year that cannot be repaired with fillings or crowns. Also, some teeth are damaged beyond repair due to facial trauma.

Bone Grafting
The bone graft provides a framework for your own bone to replace. It will heal with dense bone and usually, with more bone than if you did not have a bone graft performed.

Your dentist may need one of our oral surgeons to prepare the gums and bone after teeth have been removed prior to taking impressions to make a set of dentures or a partial denture.

Oral Pathology
Your dentist or physician may have noticed an area in your mouth such as on your gums, lips, tongue, cheeks, or within the jawbone that does not appear to be normal.

Children often require extra attention during doctor’s visits and we at Blue Ridge Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery take special care to provide the time and attention your child may need during both the initial evaluation and any procedure.

Jaw Surgery
Jaw surgery, known as orthognathic surgery, is reconstructive surgery of the upper and/or lower jaw(s) to correct abnormal jaw relationships.

Facial Trauma
Unfortunately, accidents do happen and a commonly injured area is the face, including the facial bones.

During your initial consultation, you will have an opportunity to discuss what type of anesthesia you want for your procedure. As with any procedure, any form of anesthesia has risks and they will be discussed with you at your first appointment.
